Sailing in Croatia - Expressen's guide to sailing

Sailingin Croatia with Expressen's Allt om Resor
"Sailing in Croatia doesn't have to be complicated. We jump on a ready-made cruise concept and let the winds - and crew - take us from turquoise bathing bays, via well-known islands such as Brac and Hvar, to the eternal tranquility of beautiful Vis. I know almost nothing about sailing. I have a motorboat, and I barely know what reef, spinnaker and jib mean. But I love the sea and I have always been curious about sailing. My background is not unique, I realize after balancing on the gangway with my luggage and greeting the other passengers with whom I will share life and experiences for a week in the Croatian archipelago."
"Croatia is called 'the land of a thousand islands' - sailing in Croatia has become increasingly popular. This is not surprising. Croatia is often called 'the land of a thousand islands'. It has a total of 1,244 islands, 67 of which are inhabited. "We will visit a handful of them," says Theodor 'Theo' Pålsson, captain of More Sailing. He shows us on the map how we are supposed to sail. But everything can change - the plans are only preliminary. In the end, the weather will decide."
Sailing in Croatia is quite easy
"Several of us have never lived on a sailboat in Croatia before, and it takes a few days for me, at least, to adjust to the limited space. More Grey is 55 feet long, which in sailing terms is probably considered quite large. Two steering wheels, a large cockpit, a sturdy dining table where we all fit, sleeping space for ten people, and a captain's cabin in the bow, with room for two people. In other words, a real vacation boat."
