More Sailing builds new racing boat

The sailing company More Sailing continues to go against the grain, producing another boat at its new shipyard, More Boats, in Croatia. The latest boat model will be a 40-foot racing boat, the More 40, and will replace the company's current racing fleet. The boat will be shown for the first time at the Gothenburg Boat Show.

More Sailing was early to stand out from the crowd. Already a year ago, the company opened a new shipyard in Croatia, More Boats, where they started manufacturing the prefomance cruiser More 55. Now they are investing again and creating another boat model, More 40.

"Many people in the boating industry think we are not really wise and do not understand how we can invest so heavily in an industry that is declining. But by now launching another boat model, we become more independent and stable as a company in the boat industry, says Einar Halldin, CEO of More Sailing.

The More 40 is a racing yacht designed by Cossutti Yacht Design, which also designed the More 55, but also the "European Yacht of the Year 2013" and the performance cruiser "Italian Yacht". At present, More Sailing is planning to manufacture 15 More 40s. With the new boat, More Sailing will replace its entire racing fleet from the Salona 38 to the new More 40.

The production will start at the end of this year and the boat will be ready to sail in 2017. The More 40 is, just like the More 55, built with high quality and light basic structure. It will be a sporty boat that is both fun and fast to sail, says Einar. But More 40 is not only a boat, it is also a good investment. More 40 provides opportunities for boat owners who want to sail their own boat in warm waters during their vacation and who at the same time think it is important that the boat purchase is a good investment. The arrangement makes it possible to own a boat while providing a good return," explains Einar Halldin.
A model of the More 40 will be displayed at the Gothenburg Boat Show in February. At the More Sailings stand, visitors will also be able to try sailing the company's More 55 through a 360-degree film with VR glasses and hear Cossutti Yacht Design talk about the manufacture and design of More Sailings boats.
